About us

Meet the Maker

Hello! Thanks so much for stopping by my shop! Whether you’re a returning customer or a new one thank you so so much! Your support of my small business means so much!

My full name is Bithiah, however I rarely get called that (unless I’m in trouble!) I have many nick names, but you might know me as B! I’m the maker here at Lagom SK.

I decided to take the plunge and launch Lagom SK as a small business of my own almost 4 years ago and I’m so happy to have you here visiting my shop!

When I’m not making… I enjoy spending time exploring the outdoors with my husband or planning our next adventure, reading, DIYing and completing voluntary work. My husband and I met working on a voluntary construction project! He’s the talented carpenter and I was the unskilled construction volunteer… we learnt so much from that experience, not just about construction, but also about ourselves! In the same year I set up the business he got sent to Africa on another project, the world got hit by a pandemic and I got diagnosed with cancer!Yet, here we are in 2024…I’ve finished all my treatment, we managed to have the perfect wedding day despite a global pandemic/me not being well and life is genuinely busier than ever!… so good things can still happen despite all the craziness!

Please have a look round, see what’s on offer… if you have any questions please do contact me, I’d love to hear from you! If you have something specific in mind that you can’t see in the shop, let me know!

Thanks so much again, B xx

Our Company

Lagom SK is played on the Swedish word “Lagom” and SK is short for the Swedish “Skandinavien”. “Lagom” is a swedish word meaning “just the right amount” but could also be defined as “just right”, “in balance”and “perfectly-simple”. Its our small businesses aim to try to produce items that are always perfectly Lagom.

Polymer Clay:

Polymer clay is a type of hardenable modeling clay.  When perfectly baked it becomes hard, but also slightly flexible in nature and most importantly light weight… making it the perfect medium for jewellery, no heavy earrings in sight! Even my largest clay designs will be perfectly lightweight.

Wood:

The wood being used for my earring designs is 100% reclaimed wood, meaning that wood that would otherwise  be discarded can be reused to make unique designs and have less of an impact on the environment. Each type of wood brings its own unique texture and grain pattern and is naturally beautiful.
